Earlier this evening Management phoned 577 Union leaders and stated that they were sending an email to all Flight Attendants that AIS will remain through the holidays and into early next year. All though a shut off date is scheduled for January 3, 2012, this is a clear sign the Company hears our Members concerns.

The pilots screens have been restored to public status.

For further details, look for the November Update Video later this week.

Below is a sample email that can be used to send to management about AIS. Please CC your Local 577 at local577@twu.org

Dear Maury, Kris and Mary Grace,

I’m writing because I am both concerned and disappointed of the recent decision to once again ignore the “Face of Allegiant.” The Flight Attendant group is constantly on the front line for this company and represents the values we all hold dear. However, I feel you are ignoring our own values. It states in our very own work rules under service, “I treat Customers and EMPLOYEES with trust, respect and integrity.” By taking away our ability to see our colleague’s schedules, you are saying that we as the “Face of Allegiant” are no longer trusted to view that information to use as it is intended to be used.

I now ask that you demonstrate the integrity that you expect of us, “do the right thing” and mutually respect the majority’s wishes to keep AIS public. We are professionals and expect to be treated as such. To suggest otherwise through these actions would be contradictory to our core values.

I thank you for your time and hope that you do the right thing.

Sincerely,

Loyal Allegiant Flight Attendant
