Issue Update
Your Negotiating Team leaders have been in regular communications and meetings with Management to help resolve workplace issues during this interim period before a contract is ratified.
The following topics are currently being discussed or have been resolved.
1. ATS not effective -
Planes not being cleaned.
Long sits on Tarmac waiting for gate.
Concerns that security searches aren't being done.
2. R11 schedule in July potentially requires Flight Attendants to sit Reserve into their day off.
3. Broken carts- how to identify broken carts and get them offline.
4. Resolved issue in PIE regarding utilization of R4's and R10's.
5. Resolved issue regarding pay above guarantee for all Reserves system wide that received less than 10 days off in July.
6. Keeping same carts for short doubles to simplify inventory process for Flight Attendants.
7. Confirmed that the work rule regarding time needed to request vacation is not accurate and needs to be amended to support the following:
Vacation time requested to be turned in by the end of the month prior to bids coming out for Requested vacation month.
8. Commission split with new configuration and with 757....To be continued.
9. Since marketing has confirmed that total beer sales has not increased with the introduction of import beer, suggestions were made that we go back to domestic beer and use the money saved to hire more Flight Attendants so there are enough reserves for adequate coverage at each base.
