Negotiation Update: August Session

Your Negotiating Team has just returned from the bargaining table with Allegiant Air Management where important steps were made toward securing your first Contract.
During the three day session August 23-25 in Las Vegas, your Local 577 table team, Debra Petersen, Marilou Resendes, Micheal Jenkins and TWU advisors reached Tentative Agreement with Management on two articles.
The Probationary Article establishes a six month probationary period and the parameters for new Flight Attendants. In addition your team also reached agreement on the “System Board of Adjustment” which provides a framework for resolving disputes between your Union and Management on disciplinary and contractual issues if they need to be resolved by a neutral third party.
In addition, your Team exchanged proposals, held productive discussions, and presented counterproposals on Grievance Procedures, Health and Safety, Seniority, and Leaves of Absence. Your Negotiating Team also gave initial proposals to the Management on Hours of Service, Insurance, Part-Time Flight Attendants, Scheduling/Bidding, Compensation, and Retirements Benefits. Your Negotiating Team has now presented full-text proposals on all articles for discussion with Management in an effort to reach a Contract as quickly as possible.
Your Negotiating Team will return to the bargaining table with Management September 20-22. Negotiating dates have also been agreed to for October 18-20 and November 29-December 1.
